7 Morning Routine for Men To Help Energize and Motivate You

Before we dive in, there are a few things to keep in mind. Make sure your morning routine is realistic and achievable.

It should be something you can stick to even on days when you don’t feel your best.

In order to make sure you have enough energy for the day, try to keep it simple and limit it to 30 – 90 minutes.

Now let’s get started!

  1. Wake up early and spend some time outdoors.
  2. Exercise for at least 15 – 30 minutes each morning.
  3. Drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up.
  4. Eat a healthy breakfast within an hour of waking up.
  5. Take some time to organize your thoughts and plan out your day.
  6. Create a to-do list for the day.
  7. Set aside some time each morning for yourself – read, meditate, or journal.

1. Wake up early and spend some time outdoors.

Did you know waking up early can help reduce your stress level?

According to Fitness Magazine, researchers at the University of London found that individuals who woke up by 7:00 a.m. tended to report lower stress levels.

In addition to waking up early get some fresh air and sunlight. This will help reset your body’s natural clock and wake you up naturally. It’s also a great way to start your day feeling positive and upbeat.

2. Exercise for at least 15 – 30 minutes each morning.

This is an important one – exercise gets your blood flowing and releases endorphins, which will help you feel more energized and motivated throughout the day.

One of the well-proven exercise facts is that exercising regularly lowers your chances of premature death by 30%.

You don’t need to spend hours in the gym, for a morning routine, 15 – 30 minutes of simple exercise is all you need to prepare your body for the day.

3. Drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up.

Water is essential for life and it’s especially important to drink enough water (about 1 liter) first thing in the morning.

Drinking a glass of water as soon as you wake up will help jump-start your metabolism, flush out toxins, and give you more energy, it also helps with weight loss.

Plus, it just feels good to hydrate yourself after a long night of rest.

4. Eat a healthy breakfast within an hour of waking up.

This is another important one – you need to give your body the fuel it needs to function properly.

A healthy breakfast should include complex carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats.

Some good examples of a healthy breakfast are oatmeal with almonds and berries, eggs and toast, or yogurt with granola.

5. Take some time to organize your thoughts and plan out your day.

This is another great way to start your morning on the right foot.

Spend a few minutes each morning planning out what you want to accomplish that day. This will help keep you organized and on track throughout the day.

It can also be helpful to review your goals and reflect on what you’ve accomplished in the past few days/weeks.

6. Create a To-Do List for The Day

A daily to-do list should start with the most essential tasks and those that need the most attention and time, containing all of your planned activities for one day.

The advantages of keeping a daily to-do list are numerous; it helps you keep track of everything you need to accomplish that day, avoids failure to remember something for later, and aids in the prioritization of your tasks so that the most essential ones are completed first.

A simple yet efficient time management approach for being more productive during the day is to make a daily to-do list every morning.

7. Set aside some time each morning for yourself – read, meditate, or journal.

This is a great way to start your day off on the right foot and set the tone for the rest of the day.

Take some time for yourself each morning to do something that relaxes you and makes you happy. This could be reading your favorite book, meditating, journaling, or taking a walk outdoors.

By starting your day off with this positive routine, you’ll be more likely to have a good day overall.

Conclusion

A morning routine can help energize and motivate both men and women to do their best throughout the day, but it takes discipline and dedication to make one work in your life.

The most important part of having a morning routine is consistency. If you can stick to doing the same things every morning, it will be easier for you to start your day with energy and be productive.

However, if you find that some of the items on this list don’t work for you, don’t be afraid to mix things up and find what does work for you.

The most important thing is that you start each day off on the right foot so that you can make the most of your time.

Many people have oily skin, but not everyone knows how to deal with it. Oily skin can cause acne breakouts, blackheads, and oily patches on your face. It can also result in oily hair if you are prone to greasy roots.

Oily skin is a common problem for many people, especially during summertime, or when you are in a hot environment.

There are many things that cause oily skin, and even if you use the right skincare products you may experience oily skin if you are having frequent exposure to a hot environment.

Luckily, you can get rid of oily skin forever if you follow the right skincare process which I am going to share with you in this article.

However, there is no quick fix for oily skin, you need to implement the process for at least a few months to get rid of oily skin permanently.

What is Oily Skin?

Oily skin is a condition in which the skin produces excess sebum, an oily secretion from your oil glands, causing your pores to look enlarged.

Check out the US National Library of Medicine study on patient experiences with oily skin.

Oily skin can cause acne breakouts and blackheads if it’s not treated properly. It can also result in oily hair if you are prone to greasy roots. Another telltale sign of oily skin is when your face starts to look shiny in the middle of the day.

Why Does My Skin Become Oily?

Your body naturally produces sebum, an oil that moistens and protects the skin. When you have a hormonal imbalance or just overactive oil glands, your pores produce excessive amounts of sebum.

Oily skin can also be caused by certain medications, stress, or weather conditions like humidity and very hot temperatures.

7 Home Remedies for Oily Skin

1. Use the Right Sunscreen

Using sunscreen outdoors is essential to skincare, it protects your skin from sun exposure which could lead to sunburn, accelerate oily skin, and also prevent the risk of skin cancer.

There are different types of sunscreens in the market, therefore, you need to use the right sunscreen if you have oily skin.

Use an oil-free sunscreen daily to prevent your skin from producing even more sebum due to sun damage.

A good facial moisturizer for oily skin is one that contains what is called an oil control system that will help to balance the level of oils in your skin.

2. Use Cosmetic Clay

Cosmetic clay is a powerful treatment for oily skin, it helps absorb the excess oil on your skin and also treat other skin problems, which is why it is also called healing clay.

Cosmetic clay usually comes in powder, and it should be used as a face mask, there are tons of cosmetic clays on the market, here are the best ones I could find.

Add water to at least a teaspoon of cosmetic clay, mix and apply it to your face, leave it for a few minutes and then wash it off gently with warm water.

3. Eat Low-Glycemic Food

If you are battling oily skin, what you eat also plays an important role in how much oil is produced by your sebaceous glands.

Foods that lead to inflammation in the body will cause more oil production but there are some foods that can help balance out what is already happening on your skin.

Eating low glycemic foods with complex carbohydrates can reduce the risk of skin acne, such food includes whole grain, legumes, unprocessed fruits, and vegetables.

4. Use Honey on Your Skin

One of the most popular home remedies for oily skin is a honey face mask. Honey has natural antibacterial and antiseptic properties so it can prevent breakouts, acne, and other blemishes. It’s what makes honey such an effective moisturizer that reduces oil production on your skin through consistent use.

This is a great option for those who want to prevent breakouts and keep their skin clear.

Mix one part honey with two parts yogurts, then apply the mixture as a face mask before rinsing off with warm water after 10 – 15 minutes.

5. Use Salicylic Acid-Based Soap

If you want to get rid of oily skin you need to be conscious of the soap you use.

Salicylic acid-based soaps help reduce the amount of oil on your skin and prevent breakouts.

However, salicylic acid can have a side effect on your skin which includes itching, peeling skin, and stinging, but those side effects are usually temporary, also reducing the level of usage can take away the side effects.

6. Avoid Hot Water

Hot water can make your skin produce more oil, therefore, try to avoid taking long hot showers or baths, instead use warm water.

In addition to making your skin oily, hot water has many negative effects on your skin which include redness, itching, peeling, and generally make your skin vulnerable to skin problems.

7. Control Your Diet

Diet can affect your skin health significantly, for example, eating certain foods such as pasta, white rice, and sugar can cause your blood sugar to rise more quickly which result in your body releasing a hormone called insulin, and having excess insulin can cause your body oil glands to produce more oil.

Therefore, you should have low-glycemic foods in your diet, which will control the level of oil produced in your body and also help with the overall health of your skin.

Also, when it comes to diet, it is recommended to talk to a specialist to recommend the best diet for your body and health condition.

Conclusion

Getting rid of oily skin permanently is not easy especially if your skin is naturally made to produce more oil, but it can be achieved through a consistent skincare routine and using the right skin products.

Therefore, if you are serious about your skin health make sure to follow the above practices for at least a few months before you start experiencing the desired result.

Also, you need to continue using the process long time even after you get rid of oily skin, in order to avoid developing the problem in the future.

Receding hairline or baldness is a problem that a large number of black men suffer from, it can affect your style and fashion and also make you look older than you are.

There is a ton of information on the internet on how to fix receding hairlines, unfortunately, much of the information is misleading, because they just want you to buy a product they are selling.

As a black man, I run research and find the causes of baldness in black men, the prevention techniques, and a scientifically proven method on how to fix receding hairlines for black men.

Causes of Hair Loss in Men

Hair loss (Androgenetic Alopecia) in men is a completely natural process, which means even if you live a healthy lifestyle, you can still go bald if your genetics are programmed to shut off hair growth as you grow in age.

However, there are some things that accelerate hair loss, and some measures that can be used to slow it down.

Here are the main causes of male pattern hair loss:

  • Inherited Genes. Hereditary hair loss (androgenic alopecia) is the most common cause of baldness which is due to the genes you inherited form your parents.
  • Age. Many men experience hair loss due to age.
  • Alopecia Areata. This is a disease that attack hair follicles and stop hair from growing.
  • Medication. Some medications have a side effect that affect hair growth, such as cancer medication.
  • Hair Styles. There are some hairstyles that are too sharp on your hairline, which accelerate hair loss.
  • Bad Haircare Practice. Using elastic bands, perms, over-washing your hair can accelerate hair loss.
  • Sexual Transmitted Infection (STI). Hair loss can be due to sexually transmitted infections, which can affect different parts of your body.

Those are the main causes of hair loss in men, some uncommon causes include getting in contact with poisonous agents such as arsenic, mercury, and lithium, and also taking excessive amounts of vitamin A.

How to Prevent Receding Hairline (Baldness).

You can prevent or slow down receding hairline with some best practices, however, hair loss due to inherited genes is completely natural, therefore, preventing will be swimming against the tide, you can slow it down but as you grow older there is nothing you can do to prevent it.

Instead, you have to fix it using the right technique such as hair transplant or camouflage concealer which we will discuss later in this article.

Here are some practices that help with preventing and slowing down hair loss in men:

  • Quit smoking
  • Stop hairstyles that are too sharp on your hairline
  • Stop using elastic bands
  • Stop over-washing your hair
  • Stay well-nourished with vitamins and proteins
  • Eat food that are rich in iron and vitamin B6 such as meat, poultry, nuts, eggs, and squash.
  • Eat more fish especially for people who are on cancer medication.

While those measures are not guaranteed to help with all the causes of hair loss, they are proven to help in many cases, therefore it is worth the try.

If your hairline keeps receding after taking all the preventing measures you might need to use fix methods.

How to Fix Receding Hairline for Black Men

There are two categories of scientifically-backed treatments for men who are going bald which are Hair Loss Stabilizers and Hair Replacements.

Although there are many supplements that claim to fix hair loss, the science behind them is sketchy, multiple studies prove those supplements do not help with hair loss unless you have an underlining deficiency of vitamin D or iron.

Therefore, is good to keep a low expectation when using supplements, and if you keep experiencing hair loss after using the supplements for a while you might need to consider other options.

1. Hair Loss Stabilizers

Hair loss stabilizers help keep hair follicles alive and prevent hair loss from progressing, in some cases, hair loss stabilizers convert small follicles larger which may result in getting back the hair you lost.

There are two most established hair stabilizers treatments which are Minoxidil and Finasteride, those treatments are most effective when you started in the early stage of hair loss, it helps in preventing hair follicles from dying, therefore, stops further hair loss.

Minoxidil

Most Minoxidil 5% comes in lotion or oil which should be applied directly to the scalp twice a day, more than 90% of the medicine stays on the scalp, and it doesn’t enter the bloodstream, which makes it safe and has very little side effects.

The most common side effects of Minoxidil are scalp itching and scaling, it stops further hair loss and helps with hair regrowth in some men.

Unfortunately, Minoxidil is not the best treatment for everyone, some men continue to experience hair growth even after using Minoxidil for a couple of months.

However, to see the actual result you need to use the formula for at least 6 months, and you need to keep using it to prevent hair loss in the future.

Finasteride

Finasteride can only be used by prescription, it blocks the enzymes that convert testosterone to DHT, which is called 5a-Reductase.

It reduces the level of DHT and increases testosterone levels slightly, Finasteride is also more effective as a hair loss treatment than Minoxidil.

To achieve the maximum result, Finasteride needs to be taken for at least 2 years, and it also needs to continue long time to prevent further natural hair loss.

However, the dosage needs to be prescribed by a healthcare specialist.

Also, Finasteride has more side effects than Minoxidil, some of the common side effects include erectile dysfunction, loss of libido, and some ejaculation problems.

The risk of side effects can also be reduced by reducing the dosage of Finasteride.

2. Hair Replacement

This is a practice of replacing hair that has already been lost, this process is categorized into Hair Transplant and Camouflage, and hair transplant should only be considered after trying other methods with no success.

Hair Transplant Surgery

Hair transplant is a surgical procedure in which hair follicles are taken from the back of the head and planted on the part where hair is lost or receding.

Even though the procedure is becoming more common these days, it requires a skilled surgeon to pull off a good hair transplant.

Also, hair transplant surgery is not as safe as using other methods, there is a risk of something going wrong during the surgery.

Camouflage Concealer

There are many camouflage products that hide baldness, which is a good option for a quick result with no risk.

The main goal of these products is to hide the thinning hair and disguise the scalps to make the baldness disappear temporarily.

Using camouflage concealer doesn’t require specific knowledge or experience, anyone can purchase the products and apply where the hair is thinning, however, this is a temporary treatment, meaning the camouflage goes away as soon as you wash your hair.

Conclusion

Hair loss is natural in most black men or men in general, the most common cause is hereditary genes which take effect as you grow in age.

Therefore, to stop the process, you need to find the right treatment for your body and stay consistent, if you try out the early-stage treatments with no result, contacting a hair specialist or dermatologist will be the right option to figure out what treatments are best for you.
